چکیده

Indigo Carmine (IC) is a synthetic dye that might promote irritations, vomiting, and diarrhea when orally consumed in high concentrations. Copper dangerous heavy metal tends to accumulate organisms' cells as pollutant. Hyperproduction of IC accumulation copper water could cause an environmental problem must be adequately addressed. Kaolin found abundant on Bangka Island. Based XRD analysis, Island from consists two important minerals, Kaolinite Rectorite. has chemical physical properties, which make it useful several applications, including adsorbent. This study aims evaluate how can adsorb ion acid wastewater (pH < 0.5) determine natural Kaolin's ability aqueous solution. Many factors, mixing time number doses Kaolin, influence absorb IC. The longer the stirring time, more absorbed. optimal temperature for adsorption 25˚C. kaolin dose 20% (m/v). concentration after application decrease, with at 25.09% (m/v) dosage 19.23% removal.

The use of indigo carmine for dye dilution curves.

Investigation of the properties of indigo carmine reveals that it may be more suitable than the dye, T-1824, for circulator}' studies that are now commonly carried out using the dye dilution principle of Stewart and Hamilton. Comparison is made of simultaneous dilution curves of indigo carmine and radioactive iodinated serum albumin. Apparently, indigo carmine is bound to protein firmly enough ...

Exploratory study on sequestration of some essential metals by indigo carmine food dye

Indigo carmine forms a stable complex with different ions, and the stability constant of the complexes were evaluated as log K equal to 5.75; 5.00; 4.89 and 3.89 for complexes with Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Zn(II) ions, respectively, in 0.1 mol L-1 carbonate buffer solution at pH 10. The interaction between Cu(II) ions and indigo carmine (IC) in alkaline medium resulted in the formation of the...

Carmine Adsorption from Aqueous Solution by Crosslinked Peanut Husk

To observe the feasibility of the removal of carmine, peanut husk, an agriculture by-product, was crosslinked with epichlorohydrin in alkaline medium and used for adsorption of carmine from aqueous solution. Batch experiments were carried out to study the effects of various parameters such as initial pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage and initial carmine concentration, as ...

Photocatalytic Degradation and COD Removal for Indigo Carmine Dye Using aqueous Suspension of Zinc Oxide

This paper reports on photocatalytic decolorization of a hazardous indigo carmine dye solution. The photocatalytic decolorization was carried out in the presence of the catalyst ZnO. The effect of catalyst dose, pH and initial dye concentration on the degradation process has been assessed. The aqueous dye solution was degraded in a photochemical reactor in the presence of UV light (365nm) along...
